A.Callidryas vivariums
CONSTRUCTED AND DESIGNED BY D.KNIGHT 14-11-2009
This 24x18x18 inch vivarium houses a trio of A.Callidryas.
The vivarium is illuminated by two UVB bulbs of two and five percent out puts, powered by an exo terra canopy.
It is heated via three heat mats allowing constant temperatures and a steady gradient giving the frogs both places to heat and cool.
The substrate is coco husk over a layer of hydroleca which provides drainage to the terrarium.
The back and the right hand sides are covered with coco panels. Pockets have been made to house the epiphytes and climbers.
Mushrooms have been siliconed in place to provide resting spots and some branches have been placed to provide climbing areas.
The plants used to create this naturalistic vivarium are Philodendron scandens , Scindapsus pictus, Nephrolepis marisa, Dracena, Cryptanthus redstar, Phlebodium areolatum, Pilea cadieri and Tillandsia bulbosa.
